About me
Rebecca embodies breath. She knows well that part of living a balanced life is finding the courage to start, and be willing to do so again … and again. As such, her personal experience shapes her teaching—we all start somewhere, we all have room to grow, and we all benefit from community as we do. Rebecca strives to find confidence in challenge, focus inward to expand, foster belonging, and find calm in physical activity and in stillness. The path of her heart includes co-founding a yoga and mindfulness studio in Alabama), serving on the Board of Growing Together (a wellness non-profit serving the whole health needs of Tuscaloosa), and volunteer work with the Veterans Yoga Project. With a PhD in medical sociology, Rebecca focuses on health equity and mental health literacy in her professional life. A dedication to service—inspired by her family—led her to a career supporting the well-being of those who served our country, their families, and the providers who care for them.
